PRN AS NEEDED – Average 2 weeks/month Monday-Friday

REQUIREMENTS:
  • BLS Required
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong technical skills to include MS Office
  • Professionalism and compassion a MUST!
  • Have own vehicle that can hold and carry needed equipment
**THIS POSITION REQUIRES REGULAR REGIONAL TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF FLORIDA AS WELL AS NATIONAL TRAVEL ON OCCASION TO DESIGNATED FIRE/POLICE DEPARTMENT LOCATIONS**

Phlebotomist Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble and set up medical instruments (needles, test tubes, blood vials, etc.)
  • Verify a patient identity while following all HIPAA guidelines
  • Make sure the patient is comfortable and in a good position to draw blood
  • Observe if the patient has any negative reactions to the procedure
  • Educate patients on immediate aftercare
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary space; sterilize supplies properly
Phlebotomist Requirements and Qualifications
  • Graduate of Accredited Phlebotomy Technician program 
  • Understanding of standard blood drawing practices and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Able to stand on feet, bend, and move throughout shift
